Michael Gschrei has been working as an independent consultant for asset management companies and investors for seven years. Before that, he had been managing director of a consulting firm for investment analysis and private equity investments for three years, and at Allianz Group for ten years.
At Allianz Group he was able to gather extensive experiences – first in the holding company’s financial analysis department, and later as portfolio manager and managing director of the group’s investment trust where he was in charge of the global equity investment strategy of the Allianz Group and its execution.
Dr. Gschrei has been engaging in questions of company evaluation since his college days. His doctorate thesis was on „Company holdings in the annual financial statement and consolidated account.” He is co-author of the book „Liquiditätsmanagement für Private Equity und Venture Capital Dachfonds“ (Liquidity management for private equity and venture capital fund of funds) and co-publisher of the magazine “Corporate Finance biz”.
For his achievements as a fund manager he was awarded the S & P Fund Award in 1998 as managing director of Allianz Kapitalanlagegesellschaft.
